“sorte muld traveler”

Traditionally Letter-pressed Postcard

Wish you saw a certain friend a little more often? Maybe it’s time for a reminder from the Old Norse god Odin!

This gorgeous, Seattle-made 4"x6" postcard features a Viking Age Swedish archaeological find (mysterious gold foil depictions known as a "Guldgubber") combined with a message to a friend from the Old Norse eddic poem Hávamál, consisting of advice from Odin.

The historic find and runic inscription are carefully explained on side B of the card by scholars Joseph S. Hopkins and Mathias Nordvig (University of Colorado, Boulder).
